STERANKO CHECKS IN TO COMIC ART CON!

We are excited to announce that Steranko will be a special guest at Comic Art Con in Hasbrouck Heights on Sunday, August 27th.

Steranko is famed for combining words and images in a multitude of mediums and formats, including graphic novels, movies, role-playing games, film adaptations, comic books, animated TV series, trading cards, historic documentaries, and exhibits around the world, in addition to shouldering a dozen successful careers, including musician, stage performer, photographer, ad agency art director, sideshow fire-eater, male model, magician, typographer, designer, publisher and more.

With Stan Lee, he helped create the Marvel Comics' phenomena and generated more than 150 original storytelling innovations that changed the direction of the medium. Wizard Magazine credited Steranko as the 5th Most Influential Comics Artist in the history of the form. As an illustrator, he set what might be a world's record for visualizing more classic fictional heroic characters than any other artist—in addition to producing a multitude of movie posters, record albums, and magazine paintings.

His Supergraphics organization has published material related to contemporary culture in every medium, and his international newsstand entertainment magazine Prevue had an impressive 25-year run. As its editor, he conducted hundreds of superstar interviews and penned more than three million words.

He collaborated with such directors as George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, Francis Ford Coppola on some of their biggest hits, and also worked with other filmmakers, including Alain Resnais, Oliver Stone, Ralph Bakshi, and Federico Fellini, besides serving as Creative Consultant for the History Channel's two-hour documentary COMIC-BOOK SUPERHEROES—UNMASKED. He has won numerous awards in both Europe and America, lectured on popular culture, and exhibited his work at more than 150 international exhibitions, including in the Louvre in Paris. His recent three-month exhibit, STERANKO AND THE AMERICAN HERO (65 paintings) at the prestigious Butler Institute of American Art garnished more press and attendees than any previous show at the facility. And he's still the best-dressed man in the pop-culture universe.

Plan to attend Comic Art Con on August 27th where Steranko will be signing books, posters, prints and relating tales of his life and times!
